Senior Assembly

Children from 4th class led an assembly today where we talked about lots of thins we had been taught and been learning in our school. The children dramatised the story of the Children of Lir for us and sang a beautiful song 'The Children of Lir.' They also outlined for us their recent participation in the Mayo Science Build a raft competition in Westport. They outlined their task and explained how the procedure involved. We were so proud of them. We also recognised the great successes enjoyed here recently in the area of Sport - Futsal, Camogie and Coss Country. We also spoke of the great work being done in 5th classs with their famous perople projects and the work being done, studying

Ice Figure and Ice-Cream Man

Look at this heartwarming story written by Ciara Quinn in our Senior Computer Club on Thursday evenings. The graphics are fantastic. Well done Ciara and Miss Coleman who taught the children to crteaete and publish their own stories using storybird. We are so proud of them and we look forward to seeing more stories being published over the coming week. There is great work being done in our school using our computers in our computer room both during the school day and during our after schools classes. Many Thanks to all who made this possible.

Third Class Futsal

Our ladies had great fun recently taking part in the 3rd/4th class Futsal competition in Breaffy Sports Arena. They played really well and really enjoyed their first experience of playing a soccer competition at this age level. Special thanks to Miss Burke who co-ordinated, trained and managed the team and also to Miss Coleman and Miss Kelly who helped her. Sport is great for the mind and body!

Huge Success in Cross Country

Our ladies enjoyed serious success fun and laughter in the Connaught Schools Cross Country Finals on Saturday. Our 3rd/4th class team achieved 6th place overall and Lucy Molloy came in 12th position - which is a fantastic accolade as there was a huge amount of entries representing schools from all over Connaught. We are indebted to Miss Kelly & Miss Moran for their support and enthusiasm and also to the girls' parents who encouraged them all the way to Kiltoom!

First Class Experiments!

Our ladies in First Class really celebrated #scienceweek with an array of different scientific experiments and they amazed us with how they could present their findings sing such scientific language at last Friday's assembly. Can you guess the nature of the experiments from the photos? Answers on a postcard please :-)

On Friday last we had an assembly to celebrate good attendance, Science week, remembering our loved ones who have passed and other items which the children are learning about in class. Our assembly was led by Senior Infants and their class teachers, Ms English and Ms Gallagher. What an extremely talented bunch we had. Junior infants and 1st Class regaled us with stories of fantastic Science experiments. Second Class told us abut their Spider projects. Senior Infants helped us to remember in November and our other Senior Infants Class told us all about Iceland! Miss Gallagher had visited Iceland over Halloween. All the guests at the assembly were enthralled by all the girls knew and were e
